Nolvadex is chemically composed of tamoxifen citrate that doesn’t belong to the group of traditional anabolic steroids but is an oral anti-estrogen. Its non-steroidal properties with excellent anti-estrogenic effects have shown positive effects in eliminating the side-effects of other steroidal drugs.
Why to use
Most of the anabolic steroids, at the end of the cycle, aromatizes to form the hormone estrogen and thus exerts stronger effects that cause the appearance of the undesired symptoms. Nolvadex is a powerful anti-estrogen that strongly helps to avoid the feminization occurring at the end of a cycle of anabolic steroids as well as fluid retention and unwanted fat deposition in hips or breasts. It also has the ability to increase endogenous testosterone production. At the end of the cycle, testosterone production gets lowered as during the cycle the anabolic steroids effectively inhibit and replace it by blocking the estrogenic receptors. Such a phenomenon may lead to the appearance of unwanted symptoms. Nolvadex restores the normal testosterone production in the testes. Nolvadex also has important role in the treatment of breast cancer. It’s used as a preventive measure in patients having ductal carcinoma as they are very much susceptible to breast cancer.
The normal recommended dose is 20 mg daily. The pill can be taken with or without food. Those who are affected with breast cancer are advised a daily dose of 20-40 mg daily. Higher doses, over 20 mg, should be divided into 1-3 doses in a day. Most of the athletes start off with 20 mg daily; some go up to 30mg daily. Its use is restricted for more than 5 years for therapeutic purposes.
